Current Projects

  • The UN Youth Australia National Conference: A seven day residential conference for secondary school students, emphasising the purposes and principles of the United Nations.
  • The Evatt Competition: A model Security Council diplomacy competition for secondary students.
  • The Pacific Project: A development tour of East Timor, focusing on how young Australians can contribute to global development.
  • The UN Youth Voice Competition: An innovative public speaking competition encouraging secondary students to find solutions to the world’s largest problems.
  • The Aotearoa Leadership Tour: A tour to New Zealand focusing on the comparative treatment of indigenous peoples by our two countries, visiting our friends at UN Youth New Zealand and attending NZMUN.
  • The Middle East Experience: A tour to the Middle East focusing on the role of the United Nations in building peace and global stability.
  • The Australian Youth Representative to the UN: In collaboration with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, we send one young Australian to represent us all at the United Nations General Assembly. 
  • Young Diplomats Tour: A month long educational program in Europe for high school students, with a focus on the historical evolution of diplomacy and the state.
  • American Political Tour: An educational trip for high school students focused on understanding contemporary American politics.


  • Dynamic, peer-to-peer education focusing on international relations, human rights and the United Nations.
  • A wide range of opportunities for secondary and tertiary students, both in the classroom and outside.
  • An active and committed network of over 400 young volunteers nationally.
  • A sector-leading approach to delegate welfare, and a commitment to strong standards of facilitator training.
  • Positive relationships with a range of Federal Government departments, including the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and the Office for Youth.
  • A firm commitment to engaging young people from a diverse range of backgrounds – and to ensuring that their voices are heard at the highest levels of government.
