The Master’s Degree in the United Nations and the Art of Peace focuses on the study of 70 years of UN action in the fields of peace-making, peacekeeping and peace-building. It aims to allow students to become more knowledgeable on the matter as well as profit directly from the hindsight of the United Nations and academic experts in order to better assess and apprehend peace initiatives and understand the processes of preserving, defending and promoting peace in all their complexity.

The World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) was proud to host a delegation from the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) from 26-30 November 2018. Sixteen deans, chancellors, and other officials from higher-education institutions visited New York for WFUNA’s Leadership Training Program (LTP). The delegation met with representatives from United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI), UNESCO, the United Nations Alliance of Civilisations (UNAOC), and the UN Global Compact.

Agents of Change celebrated their achievements at the Closing Ceremony in Singapore.

SINGAPORE, 17 September 2018 – The Closing Ceremony of WFUNA’s Mission Possible Programme Cycle in Singapore was held on 12 September 2018 at Nexus International School. It convened students from Hwa Chong International School, Nexus International School and Tanglin Trust School. Students presented the projects developed as part of the program curriculum and shared the knowledge and experiences gathered over the last year. There were a total of nine presentations.

From June 6 - 8, WFUNA's office in Geneva conducted the Workshop at the UN: India part of our Youth Training Program on the UN with students from three different high schools in India and in collaboration with our national UNA: IFUNA. During this three-day program, 37 students participated in different activities involving topics such as multilateralism, trade and humanitarian issues.

Shortly after joining, Isabelle visited Mission Possible in India and Singapore to connect with participating students, teachers and school leaders, as well as with our National Program Coordinators, Soujanya Ganig and Kanchana Varatharajalu.

Geneva, Switzerland - WFUNA hosted its second Youth Training Program: Greece from March 19 - 23 in Geneva for 31 students from Hellenic-American Educational Foundation in Athens.

The week was divided into four categories: 1. Multilateralism, Peace and Security 2. Multilateralism, Sustainable Development, 3. Humanitarian Affairs and Human Rights and 4. Career Development. Participants were briefed by speakers from the Greek Mission, US Mission, UPR Info, OCHA, UNHCR and IOM.
