Training Programs at the UN

The World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) is a global nonprofit organization representing and coordinating a membership of over 100 national United Nations Associations.

This summer WFUNA will hold its Training Programs at the UN at both its New York and Geneva offices. These programs are one week experiences where participants gain an in-depth understanding of the UN through briefings and presentations, educational activities, simulations, and tours. Throughout the week participants meet and interact with UN officials and staff, diplomats, members of civil society, and other actors of the UN system.


The goals of the Training Programs at the United Nations are:

  • To give students an in-depth understanding of the UN system,
  • To introduce and examine current issues in world affairs,
  • Obtain information on career buildling and working in the UN or other international organizations,
  • Learn and practice relevant 21st century skills,
