Success Stories

The World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) is a global nonprofit organization representing and coordinating a membership of over 100 national United Nations Associations.

WFUNA has an established track record in running original international programs and events related to the three pillars of the UN - peace and security, sustainable development, and human rights. Our recent history includes projects on topics such as disarmament and the Millennium Development Goals. Here are a few examples:

In 2012, we continued to work for a stronger and more effective United Nations, making an impact on issues including the prevention of genocide and mass atrocities, human rights education and youth engagement with UN processes. February 11, 2011

Starting in 2004, WFUNA has organized a series of regional Model UN conferences organized on the theme of the Millennium Development Goals by the WFUNA Secretariat in partnership with the local UNA.

Students for a Nuclear Weapons Free World was an initiative that we ran from 2006-2009 to engage young people from diverse academic disciplines with the topic of nuclear disarmament.
