So, You Want To Be The Next High Commissioner?
Do you firmly believe that all human beings were born equal? Are you committed to assisting the international community in ensuring that human rights are respected for all peoples, everywhere, at all times? If you answered yes to both of these questions then we have just the program for you. WFUNA’s Human Rights Youth Training will provide you with key knowledge and skills to start making a difference for human rights in your community.
The training, held in June at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, will empower young individuals to take a leading role in upholding human rights in their communities and around the world. Participants develop a deeper understanding of international human rights and key practical skills in project development and implementation.
The four-day training is divided into two components: education and project development. During the education component, participants will learn about available human rights instruments and implementation mechanisms, how the international community develops human rights standards, and what is being done to ensure implementation worldwide.
