EU Membership for Albania: The Importance of MDGs and Youth Involvement
The political, economic and social challenges of Albania’s integration into the EU is included in the agendas of most of the political and social activists in the country- demonstrating the awareness for the importance of this undertaking. The Millennium Project Strategy incorporated in the National Social Economic Strategy for Development, aims to ensure the road to "the EU through the Millennium Development Goals towards the year 2015." This strategy leads to an action plan which includes counterpart involvement, government participation, UN Agencies, civil society and especially youth participation. This action plan needs to be assisted with a Youth Report on the MDGs and recommendations as seen from their prospective.
