is the Secretary-General of the World Federation of United Nations Associations. She brings to this position the experience and skills of an Australian diplomat, (with postings in Ghana, India, the UK and the UN in New York). She has worked in the media, in civil society and the private sector and is the author of various publications, including “We the peoples 2005 – mobilizing for Change: messages from Civil Society” jointly produced by the World Federation and the North-South Institute. is the Communications Strategist at the World Federation of UN Associations, since 2004. She is responsible for the design, implementation and coordination of a communications and media strategy for the organization. Fruzsina is the Editor of UN Connections, the World Federation's online magazine. In addition, Fruzsina works in project development, drafting proposals and organizing capacity-building, youth and education-related activities in the areas of development, peace and security and human rights. Fruzsina has experience implementing projects and events in the field, especially in Asia and Europe. Prior to joining WFUNA, Fruzsina worked in the private sector and academia. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy from Hunter College, and an M.A. in Diplomacy and International Relations from Seton Hall University. Geneva Office

Irene Martinetti is the Director of Programs of the World Federation of UN Associations Office in Geneva. She holds a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University, and a B.A. and M.A. in East Asian Studies from Ca’ Foscari University, Italy. Irene has extensive research experience in issues ranging from East Asian politics and foreign policy, with a particular focus on China, to human rights and international security policy. She has published numerous articles on the subject of UN Reform, and particularly on UN Secretariat and Management Reform. Her previous work experiences include employment as Senior Research Associate at the Center for UN Reform in New York and as Business Development Manager for Panalpina China Ltd, and internships with BBC Beijing and UNDP.
