UNA-Russia and MGIMO-University organized a meeting and lecture of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon with UNA-Russia activists and students on Thursday 18 March 2010. Mr. Ban received an honorary Doctoral Degree from Moscow State Institute of International Relations. The event was broadcast live on Russian television. - Published a Children’s Encyclopedia on the United Nations
- Delegation of the UNA-Russia actively participated and distributed UN reports in the World Summit on Sustainable Development (2002)
- On 27 May, Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) MFA RF hosted the award ceremony for the winners of the annual essay contest held by the University and the UNA-Russia. The contest judges, international experts from MFA RF, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UNA-Russia, emphasized youth awareness of UN issues, including the Millennium Development Goals.
