Your donation this holiday season will allow WFUNA to become a stronger advocate to combat our current global challenges while educating and transforming our youth and constituents into agents of change for their own families and communities.
Today’s complex problems require solutions that reflect partnerships among all sectors—specifically civil society. Civil society- also known as non-governmental and social organizations- provides a connection between grassroots movements and decision making bodies on relevant issues, WFUNA believes that the involvement of civil society is essential to the solution of global challenges and offers various programs and activities to members to achieve this goal.
What programs will your donation work to IMPACT?
1. Responsibility to Protect (R2P) program: Our impact around the world is demonstrated by our advocacy work to bring awareness on the Responsibility to Protect (R2P) norm by hosting capacity training workshops and symposiums on peace and security.
2. Go Beyond: Aims to engage civil society in climate friendly practices and ensures that it is our legacy, and not our carbon footprint, that we choose to leave upon this world.
3. YOUth Impact Africa: Aims to strengthen civil society, in particular youth activists in Africa, so they can contribute to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals through youth-led community service projects.
4. Civil Society in Action for Human Rights: Aims to enable civil society to access various international bodies, such as the Human Rights Council, in response to rights violations.
