Partners

WFUNA has many partners to help achieve its multifaceted mission.

WFUNA actively collaborates with the national United Nations Associations around the globe, which are our core constituents. We work together with the United Nations’ civil society organizations, governments, philanthropies, universities and companies. Members of our team serve on various committees and advisory groups of leading nonprofit organizations, government agencies and the United Nations.

Some WFUNA Partners :

About Partnership

Previously a partner for the annual Global Model United Nations (GMUN) conference, WFUNA now collaborates with UN Information Centres (UNICs) around the world to support UNAs as well as to establish new UNAs. WFUNA representatives attend the DPI/NGO conference each year and have regular meetings with Directors of DPI Departments including Education Outreach, NGO Relations, and the Strategic Communications Division.

About Partnership

Discussions are ongoing on shared priorities and possibilities for collaboration in efforts by companies to align their operations and strategies with United Nations principles. WFUNA has been represented at Global Compact events such as the Global Compact Leaders Summit.

About Partnership

WFUNA works with NGLS to maintain constructive and effective relations with the United Nations.

The United Nations Orchestra was created with the intention of using symphonic music to support humanitarian efforts, and to broaden the audience for classical music. The Orchestra gives 6 to 8 concerts per season.

UNFPA provided WFUNA with financial support for publishing “Youth at the UN: A Handbook for Establishing a National Youth Delegate Programme to the United Nations”. WFUNA participates in meetings of the UNFPA Global Youth Advisory Panel.

About Partnership

The World Federalist Movement-Institute for Global Policy (WFM-IGP) organized and ran a project called Responsibility to Protect - Civil Society (R2P-CS), which sought to deepen civil society's involvement in ensuring that governments fulfill their obligation of preventing violence and atrocities under the R2P norm. WFUNA collaborated with WFM-IGP on our own R2P program, which shared the goal of mobilizing civil society to promote the R2P norm as well as public and political will for its support.

About Partnership

WFUNA and Yuhan-Kimberly have created a unique partnership that blends Yuhan-Kimberly’s dedication to corporate social responsibility and WFUNA’s expertise in youth training. Since 2013, WFUNA has taken part in Green Camp, a flagship nature camp for teenage girls hosted by Yuhan-Kimberly, to conduct workshops and lectures on the UN, the MDGs, and sustainable development.
