About Partnership
WFUNA and the Asia-Pacific Centre for the Responsibility to Protect are currently collaborating to develop valuable ways of promoting R2P within the Asia-Pacific region throughout our joint networks.
WFUNA actively collaborates with the national United Nations Associations around the globe, which are our core constituents. We work together with the United Nations’ civil society organizations, governments, philanthropies, universities and companies. Members of our team serve on various committees and advisory groups of leading nonprofit organizations, government agencies and the United Nations.
The Asia-Pacific Centre for the Responsibility to Protect's mission is to advance the Responsibility to Protect principle within the Asia-Pacific Region and worldwide, and support the building of capacity to protect populations from genocide, war crimes, ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity.

Responsibility to Protect - mobilizing public and political will
BluWorld provides global e-mail accounts, educational content, employment needs, entrepreneurship, networking, story / experience sharing, mentoring and volunteering opportunities to youth and others who are coming online in developing countries.
WFUNA is on the Advisory Board of BluWorld.
The Conference of Non-Governmental Organizations in Consultative Relationship with the United Nations (CoNGO) is an independent, international, non-profit membership association of non-governmental organizations (NGOs). It facilitates the participation of NGOs in United Nations debates and decision-making.
WFUNA is the Secretary of the CoNGO Board of Directors.
As part of the Master's Program in Environmental Science and Policy at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, teams of graduate students serve as consultants for a variety of non-profit and public agencies.
The team working with WFUNA is a diverse group of individuals all with the shared goal of working towards a more sustainable planet and future for all global citizens.
WFUNA leadership meets regularly with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and his Executive Office and collaborates on specific issues.
FKI is a multifunctional association for domestic industries, which exists in the form of an incorporated body. The official name of the organization is the Federation of Korean Industries, which consists of Korea's major conglomerates and associated members. The main objectives of the organization are to help promote sound economic policies, and to internationalize the economy to further enhance the free market economic system and the development of the nation.
WFUNA partnered with the Federation of Korean Industries to provide students attending local schools in Korea with scholarships to attend educational trainings on UN principles and related material.
Global Action to Prevent War is an emerging transnational network dedicated to practical measures for reducing global levels of conflict and to removing the institutional and ideological impediments to ending armed conflict and severe human rights violations.
WFUNA and Global Action have primarily been collaborating in the context of our work on the Responsibility to Protect.
Responsibility to Protect - mobilizing public and political will
Hope to the Future Association (HFA) is a nonprofit association dedicated to helping children through education and sustainable sponsorship. HFA carries out diverse projects designed to provide children about the world with a better quality of life.
WFUNA and the Hope to the Future Association are partnering on educational initiatives for secondary school students, including taking part in WFUNA's Training at the UN: Korea program and launching a youth-based activities in Korea.

A project of the World Federalist Movement (WFM), the INTERNATIONAL COALITION FOR THE RESPONSIBILITY TO PROTECT (ICRtoP) brings together NGOs from all regions of the world to strengthen normative consensus for RtoP, further the understanding of the norm, push for strengthened capacities to prevent and halt genocide, war crimes, ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity and mobilize NGOs to push for action to save lives in RtoP country-specific situations.
WFUNA is a member of the ICRtoP. We meet regularly to exchange information and collaborate on ways to increase the role of civil society in advocating for and advancing the R2P norm.
Kyunghee University is a private research university based in the Republic of Korea, with several campuses committed to the fulfillment of a "cultural world for humanity" as the leader of the future of academics and the creator of common values for humanity.
WFUNA and Kyunghee University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to launch a two-week youth camp program in the summer of 2013, at Kyunghee University's Global Campus.

The Executive Committee of Non-Governmental Organizations Associated with the United Nations Department of Public Information (NGO/DPI Executive Committee) acts as a liaison between the NGO community and DPI in connection with the provision of services, the production of materials, the use of UN facilities and all other matters that meet the information-related needs of NGOs associated with the UN.
WFUNA is an Ex-Officio member of the NGO/DPI Executive Committee.
The Andean Parliament is the governing body and control of the Andean community, representing 120 million people of this community. It was created on 25 October, 1979 in La Paz through a Constitutive Treaty signed by the foreign ministers of Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela in order to strengthen their economies through free trade, the elimination of tariffs, and customs union.
WFUNA, UNA-Colombia, and the Andean Parliament are currently collaborating to promote the wide dissemination of the United Nations spirit
The Research Center of United Nations and International Organizations is the research arm of the Beijing Foreign Studies University in Beijing, China.
WFUNA and RCUNIO has formed a strategic partnership for both the Dag Hammarskjold Symposium and the Advanced Training at the United Nations: China program, launched in 2012 and continuing in 2013. Read more

WFUNA, UNA-Colombia, and the City of Bogota are collaborating to strengthen the awareness of the United Nations and the issues of nuclear disarmament, the Millennium Development Goals, and climate change amongst the people of Bogota
As the public voice of the United Nations, DPI promotes global awareness and greater understanding of the work of the United Nations, using various communication tools including radio, television, print, the Internet, videoconferencing and increasingly other new information technology.
Previously a partner for the annual Global MUN(GMUN) conference, WFUNA now collaborates with UN Information Centres (UNICs) around the world to support UNAs as well as to establish new UNAs. WFUNA representatives attend the DPI/NGO conference each year and has regular meetings with Directors of DPI Departments including Education Outreach, NGO Relations and the Strategic Communications Division.

The Global Compact is a strategic policy initiative for businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.
Discussions are ongoing on shared priorities and possibilities for collaboration. WFUNA has been represented at Global Compact events such as the Global Compact Leaders Summit.
UN-NGLS is an inter-agency programme of the United Nations mandated to promote and develop constructive relations between the United Nations and civil society organizations.
WFUNA and NGLS developed a joint proposal for running “Civil Society Training Courses at the United Nations”and are currently fundraising to be able to implement this program.

UNFPA is an international development agency that promotes the right of every woman, man and child to enjoy a life of health and equal opportunity.
UNFPA provided WFUNA with financial support for publishing “Youth at the UN: A Handbook for Establishing a National Youth Delegate program to the United Nations”. WFUNA participates in meetings of the UNFPA Global Youth Advisory Panel.
The World Federalist Movement (WFM) is an international citizen's movement working for justice, peace, and sustainable prosperity. The Institute for Global Policy (IGP) was founded in 1983 by four WFM leaders as the research and policy analysis arm of the World Federalist Movement.
The World Federalist Movement-Institute for Global Policy (WFM-IGP) has launched a project called Responsibility to Protect - Civil Society (R2P-CS) It aims to deepen the debate within various sectors of the international community about the findings of the report of the International Commission on Intervention and State Sovereignty called "The Responsibility to Protect", and related documents on preventing conflicts and protecting civilians. It aims to promote international norms around the obligation of governments, in particular through the United Nations, to respond earlier and more effectively to emerging crises such as a potential genocide. The project seeks to deepen civil society involvement in ensuring that governments fulfill this obligation. For more information, please visit the R2P page.
