The Urban Innovation Challenge: Citypreneurs is an urban start-up competition for young entrepreneurs to propose business solutions that accelerate the achievement of the SDGs. Co-hosted by UN ESCAP, WFUNA, Seoul Metropolitan Government and organized by the Seoul Digital Foundation, the competition was held from 19-20 September in Seoul.

The 9th of December, 2017 marked the 2nd anniversary of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace and Security (UNSCR 2250). To celebrate this milestone, the Permanent Missions of Finland, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Peru, along with the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA), the International Organization of La Francophonie hosted an event on the sidelines of the ECOSOC Youth Forum on 29th January from 1:15pm to 2:30pm.

On January 15-17th 2018, fifteen students from the Mission Possible: India program and youth activists from New York City attended the Mission Possible International Agents of Change Conference at the United Nations. Participants from India represented 6 different Mission Possible projects that were implemented in Bangalore as part of the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 program cycle.

Tbilisi, Georgia - From October 30 to November 2, 2017, 150 representatives from twenty-five countries gathered in Tbilisi, Georgia, for the inaugural 16+ Forum Annual Showcase “From Words to Action: Implementing SDG 16+ at the local and national level.” The Forum discussed best policy and practices for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a specific focus on SDG16 – Peaceful, Just and Inclusive Societies.
