WFUNA Secretary General, Bonian Golmohammadi, and Director of Programs in WFUNA’s Geneva office, Irene Martinetti, travelled to Bhopal, India over the weekend to attend the International Conference on Human Rights: Contemporary Issues & Challenges, hosted by the Jagran Lakecity University in collaboration with WFUNA.
In light of the adpotion of the Agenda 2030 and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals by the UN General Assembly last week, the conference addressed multiple human rights themes including:
Mr. Bonian Golmohammadi gave the key note address commending India on its progress on human rights issues and calling on everyone at the conference to prioritize “honest and responsible government”.
