UNA-China and WFUNA Discuss Future Collaboration in Beijing

UNA-China invited WFUNA to a lunch reception adjacent to the Forbidden City in Bejiing on 2 December, 2011. WFUNA was recently in Beijing in collaboration with UNA-China, the Research Center for United Nations and International Organizations, and the Embassy of Sweden in Beijing to commemorate the death of former UN Secretary-General Dag Hammarskjold, and discuss his philosophy on conflict prevention and what he might have thought about new international norms, such as the Responsibility to Protect.

During the lunch reception, WFUNA Secretary-General Bonian Golmohammadi, R2P Program Officer Laura Spano, and Director of Programs in Geneva Irene Martinetti discussed with UNA-China leadership collaborating on forthcoming programs.
