A message of hope and inspiration comes from WFUNA’s President Ambassador Park Soo Gil as we begin a new year. In the message, he congratulates WFUNA’s vast network for the sucesses of the past year, and commends the work of the United Nations in launching the 2030 Agenda.
While acknowledging the setbacks of the last year such as rising terrorism and the refugee crisis, Ambassador Park calls for action as WFUNA celebrates it’s 70th anniversary in 2016: “[W]e need to help address more effectively the serious challenges the world is faced with. We also need to uphold with the renewed determination the fundamental principles of the UN and justice with a view to further strengthening the very foundation of the United Nations.”
