Description

The Movimento Studentesco per l'Organizzazione Internazionale (MSOI-UNYA Italy), which in English would be, Students' Movement for International Organizations, represents the youth and university section of the Italian Society for International Organizations (SIOI-UNA Italy) and it is the Italian member of the World Federation of United Nations Associations Youth Network. Established in 1952, MSOI is present at a national level through its local sections in Rome, Cosenza, Turin, Milan, Naples and Gorizia.

During every academic year we organize conferences, seminars, debates, study trips, round tables, workshops and international exchanges. Our purpose is to give all youth interested in affairs, concerning international relations and worldwide cooperation, the possibility to develop and deepen their understanding in these fields and to discuss and compare their ideas with their fellows worldwide. The MSOI is a cultural association created and operated by students.

About ROMUN

The Italian Society for International Organizations (SIOI – UNA Italy) in partnership with the Unites States Diplomatic Missions in Italy, and together with the Students’ Movement for International Organization (MSOI-UNYA Italy), launched its flagship international model UN conference this year. ROMUN (Rome Model United Nations) 2015 took place in Rome, Italy, from October 16 to October 20, 2015.

ROMUN2015 provided young participants with the unique opportunity to deal with the most pressing issues related to food security and sustainability, serving as a youth hub linking the main themes of Expo 2015 to the next practical steps drawn up by the Sustainable Development Agenda. The outcome of this Model UN event was the adoption of the “Youth Road Map” on the UN SDGs, a document that declared young people’s commitment to the promotion of a sustainable future and a youth plan to guide progress toward the “World They Want.” The Youth Road Map was delivered to the Secretary General of the United Nations.
