Kathryn White

The World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) is a global nonprofit organization representing and coordinating a membership of over 100 national United Nations Associations.

Kathryn White assumed the position of President & CEO of UNA-Canada in December 2003. Previously, Ms. White had been the President of Black & White Inc. Ms. White has published widely on climate change, youth-at-risk, international peace building, conflict resolution and many other topics. She was elected Chair of the Executive Committee in August 2009.

Kate has also worked as a journalist and news manager – writing on science and medicine for the Globe & Mail, the New York Times and the New Scientist and as Managing Editor of the Canadian Review magazine. Kate developed the first Canadian national emergency public information course for first responders and elected officials. She has developed and delivered executive media training and has developed programs for journalists on disaster response and on identifying community sources reflecting Canada’s diversity.
